WaterWise Garden Design Workshop

WaterWise Garden Design offers a design workshop at various times throughout the year, offering an array of topics that help you succeed with a WaterWise approach to garden design. The workshop lets you hone your skills of planning, developing, and maintaining a landscape that mostly takes care of its own water needs.

Each workshop participant receives a copy of The WaterWise Guide to Garden Design, a rain gauge, a soil sample kit, and ample time for questions and specific advice for your garden.

The cost of the three hour workshop and field trip is $45.00. We accept personal checks and payment through PayPal. For workshop participants who desire a follow-up, two-hour consultation at their home, we offer a two-hour consultation in conjunction with your workshop. This combination of workshop, field trip, and consultation is offered at $165.00 — a 25% savings on the cost of a consultation (offer is based on a ten-mile radius from our office at 6226 Dixon Drive, near North Hills Mall in Raleigh; please check with us for greater distances).

The WaterWise Garden Design workshop is conducted at the JC Raulston Arboretum in the McSwain Education Center at 4415 Beryl Road, Raleigh, NC.

The workshop is scheduled from 9:00 am until noon, with a lunch break on your own. Afterward, an optional field trip is planned to tour one of the best examples of a WaterWise garden to be found. The field trip will occur rain or shine. If it rains…all the better, you get a chance to see the WaterWise garden in action.

The workshops are currently scheduled for the following dates:

  • No workshops are currently scheduled. Please e-mail us if you are interested in participating in future workshops. Thank you.
